ECOspark 460 is a solid wire for mild steel with an engineered surface. It is used on steel structures, tanks, machine frames and workshop work on black steel.
It joins grades such as S235JR, S355JR, S235JO, S355JO, S450JO, S235J2 and S355J2 together with their equivalents, fed continuously under shielding gas from a semiautomatic torch.

Match the voltage to the wire feed speed, too low a setting gives a convex face and no fusion into the edges. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind.
