Thermanit 23/07 is a high alloyed TIG rod for lean duplex steels. It is used in the chemical, paper and marine industries, on parts loaded both mechanically and by corrosion.
You feed the filler into the pool by hand while the arc burns between the tungsten electrode and the weld, so TIG gives you full control over the heat input. The rod goes into tanks, pipelines and chemical or marine structures that need strength and corrosion resistance at the same time.

Shield the root and keep the gas cover complete, oxidised zones in duplex are where pitting corrosion starts. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads.
