What Thermanit 310 Mn solid MIG/MAG wire is used for

Thermanit 310 Mn is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless solid wire. It is used on process plant, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.

It joins grades such as 1.4586, 1.4710, 1.4713, X10CrAl7, 1.4724, X10CrAl13 and 1.4740 together with their equivalents. The wire also suits cladding runs on steel and boilers under technical inspection, with an austenitic deposit.

  • Classification EN ISO: 14343-A G 25 20 Mn
  • AWS classification: A5.9 / SFA-5.9 ER310 (mod.)
  • Shielding gas: M13
  • Diameters: 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2 mm

After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc.
