Union Al Si 7 Mg is a TIG rod for welding aluminium and its alloys. It is used in transport, in the food industry and in structures that have to resist atmospheric corrosion.
The rod suits grades such as AlSi7Mg and AlSi7Mg0. You feed it into the pool by hand while the arc burns between the tungsten electrode and the weld, and it covers frames, tanks, housings and light aluminium structures with full control over the heat input.

Degrease the sheet and keep the surface dry, moisture is the main cause of porosity in aluminium. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Protect the root when you weld from one side, an oxidised underside spoils the corrosion resistance.
