Union AlMg 4,5 Mn is a solid MIG/MAG wire for welding aluminium and its alloys. It works on frames, tanks, housings and light structures.
It joins grades such as EN AW-5083, AlMg4, EN AW-5086, AlMg4Mn, EN AW-5019, AlMg5 and EN AW-6060 together with their equivalents. The wire is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, and it goes into transport, the food industry and structures built to resist atmospheric corrosion.

Degrease the plate and keep the surface dry, moisture is the main cause of porosity in aluminium welds. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc.
