UTP 2133 Mn is a basic coated stick electrode of the E Z 21 33 B type for joining and surfacing heat resistant steels and cast steels of similar composition, such as 1.4876 (X10NiCrAlTi32-20, UNS N08800), 1.4859 (GX10NiCrNb32-20), 1.4958 (X5NiCrAlTi31-20, UNS N08810) and 1.4959 (X8NiCrAlTi31-21, UNS N08811).
The manufacturer states service up to 1050 degrees C in carburizing combustion gas with a low sulfur content, for example in petrochemical plants. The electrode carries TÜV approval number 07713 and runs on DC with the electrode positive.

Nickel chromium alloys flow less readily than steel, so open the preparation wider and travel more slowly, giving the pool time to wet the sides. Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating invites hot cracks. Basic electrodes have to be dried to the parameters on the data sheet. On furnace tubes watch the cleanliness, because sulfur from grease residue will destroy the joint in service.
