UTP 6635 Ti is a rutile coated stick electrode of the E 13 4 R 3 3 / E 410 NiMo-16 type. The manufacturer intended it for joining and surfacing corrosion resistant soft martensitic CrNi steels and the corresponding cast steels with 13 percent chromium and 4 percent nickel, that is materials of the 1.4313 kind.
The deposit has increased resistance to cavitation and erosion, so it stands up well to work in a stream of liquid. The coating gives a smooth arc and a notch free surface, the slag is removed without trouble, and the manufacturer puts the recovery at 120 percent. The electrode runs on DC only, with the electrode positive.

Martensitic steel hardens once it cools, so on heavier sections preheat the part and watch the interpass temperature according to the data sheet of the parent material. Plan the post weld tempering to the documentation for the joint, and let the weld cool before it goes into the furnace, so that the transformation has time to run through the whole section. Keep the arc short and any weaving no wider than two electrode diameters. Protect the coating from moisture and take only as many electrodes to the workstation as you will use.
