UTP A 34 is a copper alloy solid wire of the Cu 6100 type, CuAl7. It is used on casting repairs, industrial fittings and cladding of working surfaces.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, it also serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces, and the deposit is copper based.
- Classification EN ISO: 24373 S Cu 6100 (CuAl7)
- AWS classification: A5.7 ER CuAl-A 1
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.6 mm
Do not overheat the pool and work fast, tin bronzes lose alloying elements by evaporation. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
