WEARmig DUR 450 is a solid wire with good resistance to impact and abrasion, and a medium hard weld metal of about 450 HB, that is 45 HRC.
It is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, from a semiautomatic torch. The wire is used on repairs of farm tools, crusher parts, conveyors, ploughshares and mining machine components, and in maintenance work on worn surfaces.

On hard deposits expect a network of shrinkage cracks, on working overlays that is normal, but it must not reach the parent material. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc.
