WEARstick Dur 350 is particularly suited to wear resistant surfacings on Mn-Cr-V alloyed parts, such as frogs, track rollers, chain support rolls, sprocket wheels and guide rolls. The deposit is still machinable with tungsten carbide tools. Previously sold as UTP DUR 350.
The classification is E 1-UM-350 to DIN 8555 and E Fe1 to EN 14700. The hardness of the pure deposit is about 370 HB, and one layer on steel with 0.5 percent carbon about 420 HB. The deposit takes compression and rolling load combined with slight abrasion, and it is machined with tungsten carbide tools. The electrode carries a DB approval under number 82.138.03.

Before you surface a roller or a crossing, grind out the fatigue cracks and chamfer the edges of the loss, otherwise the crack will run into the new layer. Lay straight beads without weaving and watch the part temperature, so that it does not bow as it cools. On Mn-Cr-V steel match the preheat to the thickness and grade, and cool slowly under cover afterwards.
