WEARstick Dur 650 is suitable for cladding structural parts subject to abrasion combined with impact. The main applications are tools in the earth moving industry and in crushing plants, along with cold and hot working tools. The deposit is machinable by grinding only. Previously sold as UTP DUR 650 Kb.
The classification covers E 6-UM-60 to DIN 8555 and E Fe8 to EN 14700. The deposit is martensitic with a hardness of 58 to 60 HRC, while one layer on high manganese steel gives about 24 HRC and two layers about 45 HRC.
- Classification DIN 8555: E 6-UM-60, EN 14700: E Fe8
- Coating: basic
- Current: AC/DC+
- Diameters: 3.2 / 4.0 / 5.0 mm
- Lengths: 450 mm
- Hardness of deposit: 58-60 HRC
- Former name: UTP DUR 650 Kb
Take this electrode where abrasion comes together with hammering, because the deposit holds its hardness and takes the pressure. On manganese steel lay two layers, a single one comes out too soft after mixing with the base. Preheat heavier parts and cool them slowly, so that the deposit does not lift. Bring it to size by grinding, cutting will not touch this hardness.
