WEARstick XD 60 is universally applicable on parts predominantly subject to grinding abrasion combined with light impact, such as conveyor screws, digging teeth, sand pumps and mixer wings. It also suits a final layer on tough hard deposits such as WEARstick Dur 600, or on high Mn steel surfaced with WEARstick MnCr13. Previously sold as UTP Ledurit 60.
The classification is E Fe14 to DIN EN 14700 and E 10-UM-60-GRZ to DIN 8555. The hardness of the pure deposit is about 60 HRC, the first layer on steel with 0.15 percent carbon gives about 55 HRC, and on high Mn steel about 52 HRC. The slag comes off very easily and the homogeneous, finely rippled bead needs no grinding for most applications.

- Hardness of deposit: 60 HRC
- Former name: UTP Ledurit 60
Take XD 60 as a top layer rather than for rebuilding a dimension: a high chromium carbide deposit is hard but brittle, so fill the loss with a ductile electrode first. Surface in parallel beads or in a chequer pattern, with the spacing matched to the abrasive. A network of fine cross cracks in such a deposit is normal and relieves the stresses. Machine by grinding only.
