Plasma welding is a different method from plasma cutting, even though the name is similar. The arc is constricted by a nozzle, which gives a narrow, deep weld with little heat input. It is used on thin stainless sheet, on bellows and membranes and on precision repairs where TIG would give too wide a heat affected zone.
Multi-process machines make sense in a workshop where you weld with wire one day, with electrode the next and cut plasma after that. Before buying, check the rating of each function separately. A machine described as 200 A often gives 200 A in MMA only, while MIG stops at 160 A at a 40 percent duty cycle, which means breaks on longer welds.
With multi-process machines, budget for the accessories. Each method needs a different torch, a different regulator and a different gas, and that can add several hundred zloty at the time of purchase. Tell us how you work most often and we will build a set for that method.
Support equipment is usually bought last and used daily: trolleys with room for a cylinder, coolers, magnetic holders and templates. Call 669 162 833, we will check compatibility with your machine and pack the order the same working day.
