Paton is a Ukrainian maker of welding inverters from Kyiv, connected with the tradition of the Paton Electric Welding Institute, which has worked since 1934. The brand builds machines in a simple design meant to be repaired.
The range holds the StandardMIG and ProMIG lines for MIG/MAG, ProTIG for TIG welding, and compact MMA inverters, including models built for work on a weak supply.
Machines of this brand take voltage swings better than many designs in this price range, but before buying check the supply voltage range on the rating plate if you weld from a generator or on a long extension lead. Look also at the torch connector standard.
Consumables are matched by torch type, not by machine name, so a contact tip or a nozzle is available even for an older model. Equipment is repaired in our own service in Krotoszyn.
